conwell hall

Hidden beneath the towering 20 Exchange Place—once among the tallest buildings in the world and a bold symbol of 1920’s New York ambition—Conwell Hall occupies what was originally the City Bank headquarters, a place built for power, permanence, and spectacle.

You can still feel it in the bones of the space: cavernous halls, original vaults below, and an atmosphere charged with history. It’s a setting that has naturally drawn storytellers—hosting the immersive production Life and Trust and appearing on screen in films like Inside Man and Spider-Man.

And yet, for all that pedigree, it remains one of New York’s best-kept secrets. Very few live events have taken over the space, giving it a rare, almost underground feel—grand, cinematic, and waiting for the right moment. It also quietly plays host to Burns Distilled, a uniquely reimagined Burns Supper that feels right at home in such a dramatic setting.

Which is exactly why it’s the perfect place to kick off Scotland’s World Cup celebration. A gathering built on history, belief, and big moments deserves a stage to match—and Conwell Hall delivers it in spades.

We shall indeed, be coming!
